The Infamous Masterson’s , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my latest trip at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I experienced behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .

From the moment I stepped inside , it was apparent that hygiene was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of uncleaned spills and neglected washrooms filled the entire pub. With a smell of a mixture of excrement , old age and a sickly smell. The counter , which should be the focal point of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and debris that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages .
